I'm attaching a photo of the tag on a snowblower engine I have. It's labeled "Sears" but is actually made by Tecumseh. Like the Tecumseh tags, this one has a 4-digit "D.O.M." code which means "date of manufacture". In this case, the number 8258 means the engine was made on the 258th day of a year ending with the digit "8", such as 1998 or 2008.

Model 924125 was made around 2004..plus or minus a few years. RN, post the serial numbers from the Tecumseh engine tag, That's where the date code lives! Motor Looks to be made in either 1972 or 1982 ( I would reakon 1982 ) in September of that year. But without knowing when the snowblower itself was built, that would the only way to validate year of motor. GEvening matteo, On the tag that has the model and spec numbers, there SHOULD be another number towards the bottom right, that looks like: DOM: xxxx (x) or xxxxxYY/YYxxxxx. That would be the Date Of Manufacture code that will give day/month/year, possibly shift and plant, depending on format.
SER 2xxx indicates it was made in 1962, 1972, 1982. Craftsman engine number made by tecumseh. Look on a Seras parts site. So a Craftsman engine number, on a Tecumseh engine, on a Bolens FMC blower. Well that could get a little confusing lol.

You can keep the first skid plates and drill one hole in your snowblower to fit them. 1986 Ariens ST522, 5hp, 22". 1995 Murray Craftsman 10hp, 29" w. 12" impeller. A 1983 Real John Deere 10hp, 32" w. 12" impeller, 16" auger, 20" high front, cast iron gear box, chains. Noma 9hp, 27" w. 12" impeller.
