I have fixed the issue by removing the Airpods as a device then using Device Manager to uninstall all drivers in the Bluetooth section related to the Airpods (even hidden drivers). Then restarted my laptop and paired the Airpods again. Now they work. Tags: Microsoft Windows 11.

So I can't listen use the airpods as an audio device...it won't stay connected! I tried to re-connect, re-paired and the result is always the same. It only stay "connected' for 3 seconds.
