Aurora is known for its historic downtown area and the ornate Hillforest mansion built for Thomas Gaff who earned his fortune shipping goods on the Ohio River by steamboat. [7] The mansion was designed by architect Isaiah Rogers and was completed in 1855 in the Italian Renaissance style.

Mayor Mark Drury gave his State of the City Address on Monday evening. The speech included a recap of 2020 and a look ahead to things to come in 2021 and beyond.
