We removed text from the beginning of Chapter 4 referring to the verification waivers afforded students and schools in the 2021-2022 award year as outlined in GEN-21-05. If additional verification waivers are established specifically for the 2022-2023 award year due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, we will update the AVG accordingly.
The notice for 2021-2022 was published on June 24, 2021, and the deadline for that year is September 17, 2022, or 120 days after the last day of the student’s enrollment, whichever is earlier. When the notice for 2022–2023 is published, the corresponding deadline date is expected to be September 16, 2023.

Getting a StudentAid.gov Account. We encourage students and parents to get their StudentAid.gov account before filling out the FAFSA form.
