This is specifically on Isaiah 52:13, and possibly Isaiah 53:6. However, the simple meaning of the verses, is clearly a reference to Israel. Even Targum Yonatan agrees, in Isaiah 52:14-15. The Talmud [2] and Medrashim are replete with allusions and references to the Messianic themes that are hinted to in these verses.
