Because it's a winter baby, and you say you have big babies, and your current seat will expire about 8 weeks after baby is born, I would look at getting a new Graco SS1 (if you can still find one), a Snugride 32, or a Snugride 35. You can check dearbornbaby.com for sales on the 32. I think last time I checked they had a good deal on them.

As with all Graco Car Seats, the. recommended expiration of the 'Nautilus' is 6 years from the date of. manufacturing. Graco Car Seats manufactured this year, 2008, have an expiration date of Dec. 2014." I've heard this mentioned in a few other posts because of Graco advertising it as the only seat a child will need, so I thought I'd post the info.

CPST Instructor. Apr 10, 2010. #1. There came a point not too long ago that I asked about the expiration on the Snugride. I rested assured when told it was 6 yrs. Dd's SR22 was mf'd in mid 2009. Sure enough stamped under the lip of the seat it reads, "do not use after December 2014".
Is the expiration on a graco snug ride 6 years? I have one that was manufactured in 04/2003. Is it still safe to use? I'm having a new baby in November, but I need to purchase a new seat for my 2 year old soon. If this one is still good, then I can wait and save money for a good convertible...
