Founded by Raymond DeAngelo and John Ortega II in 1974, [1] [2] at its peak, the chain had more than 500 locations across the United States.
The Children's Place in Manhattan (now closed) The company was founded in 1969. It was acquired by Federated Department Stores in 1981.
