The tables below list all of the divisors of the numbers 1 to 1000. A divisor of an integer n is an integer m, for which n / m is again an integer (which is necessarily also a divisor of n ). For example, 3 is a divisor of 21, since 21/7 = 3 (and therefore 7 is also a divisor of 21). If m is a divisor of n, then so is − m.
Divisibility by 3 or 9. First, take any number (for this example it will be 492) and add together each digit in the number (4 + 9 + 2 = 15). Then take that sum (15) and determine if it is divisible by 3. The original number is divisible by 3 (or 9) if and only if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3 (or 9).
Exactly one of a, b, c is divisible by 5. The largest number that always divides abc is 60. Any odd number of the form 2m+1, where m is an integer and m>1, can be the odd leg of a primitive Pythagorean triple. See almost-isosceles primitive Pythagorean triples section below. However, only even numbers divisible by 4 can be the even leg of a ...
m is a divisor of n (also called m divides n, or n is divisible by m) if all prime factors of m have at least the same multiplicity in n. The divisors of n are all products of some or all prime factors of n (including the empty product 1 of no prime factors). The number of divisors can be computed by increasing all multiplicities by 1 and then ...
Using all numbers and all letters except I and O; the smallest base where 1 / 2 terminates and all of 1 / 2 to 1 / 18 have periods of 4 or shorter. 35: Covers the ten decimal digits and all letters of the English alphabet, apart from not distinguishing 0 from O. 36: Hexatrigesimal [53] [54]
A prime number (or a prime) is a natural number greater than 1 that is not a product of two smaller natural numbers. A natural number greater than 1 that is not prime is called a composite number. For example, 5 is prime because the only ways of writing it as a product, 1 × 5 or 5 × 1, involve 5 itself. However, 4 is composite because it is a ...
A natural number is divisible by three if the sum of its digits in base 10 is divisible by 3. For example, the number 21 is divisible by three (3 times 7) and the sum of its digits is 2 + 1 = 3. Because of this, the reverse of any number that is divisible by three (or indeed, any permutation of its digits) is also divisible by three. For ...
The second perfect number, 28, is the arithmetic mean of the twelve divisors of the fourth harmonic divisor number, 140 (like 6, and 28), which generates an integer harmonic mean of 5. [23] [24] [25] If an odd perfect number is not divisible by 3, it will have at least twelve distinct prime factors. [26]
