Programs: AA Lifetime Gold. Posts: 31,132. The Allianz insurance only insures you for up to $75,000 in coverage for loss or damage to the rental vehicle itself; it provides no coverage for injuries caused to third parties, or damage caused to property of third parties. From the Allianz disclosures: "This coverage does not provide liability ...
Posts: 272. Priceline car rental additional charges. My last 2 rentals through Priceline were with AVIS. At the end of each rental, AVIS added on a charge of a few dollars. I did not keep the vehicle beyond the time pre-paid through Priceline nor did I purchase any additional items. I contacted Priceline and they arranged for AVIS to process a ...
It depends. Priceline offers traditional car rentals where you don't have to pay until you get to the counter. They also offer various flavors of pre-payment options, some which lock you in from the get go. Here's a quick breakdown: Pay at Counter - No need to enter payment information up-front.
Yes: as suggested earlier, investigate the cost of a non-owned automobile policy. Mine is issued through Travelers Insurance, and my most recent premium for six months' coverage was $29. That gives me coverage of $500,000 for third-party personal injury, and $100,000 of coverage for property damage.
Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Priceline car rental bid accpted but Avis charges additional $13 in car rental taxes - I bid $140.00 for a weeks' car rental in San Francisco using Priceline. My bid was accepted (taxes were added) and Priceline told me that all expenses were covered. I understood I was 100%
The amount was the same as the priceline rate, just minus their $5.95 fee. It's a great deal when it's 30 or 40% off the price, it's a lousy deal with you have to pay it twice. When I was at NCAA Women's Swimming in Austin two months back, I was double billed for my hotel, and my friends were double billed for their rental car (Avis, I believe).
Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Upgrading a Priceline Car Rental - Booked a car rental through Priceline for HNL next month. Got a great rate w/National. Unfortunately, I was apparently not at the top of my game when I put in my bid, royally screwed up and put in for a subcompact (for a family of four).

When I entered in the priceline bid, I accidentally entered a return date of 7/9, a full date earlier. The total for the rental was $40.11 which includes the young drivers fee, I am 24.
Wonder when Priceline and car rental agencies will figure out a resort fee they can assess for rental cars (includes an ice removal tool--very valuable in Vegas, a complimentary "Christmas" tree to hang on your rear view mirror, you get an actual printed receipt upon car return, and 10% off any bail you need to post if arrested for failure to ...
Posts: 1,156. Extra fees when using priceline. I used to book direct but at this point some prices I see are outrageous. That's why for the first time ever I'm considering renting a car through Priceline. I'm busy reading the small print but not all is clear. - I booked a car with Avis at SEA (drop-off is SEA as well).
