It was for the use of the incipient Protestant movement and is widely regarded as the Spanish equivalent of the King James Version . e. Genesis Rabbah ( Hebrew: בְּרֵאשִׁית רַבָּה, romanized : Bərēšīṯ Rabbā) is a religious text from Judaism 's classical period, probably written between 300 and 500 CE with some later additions. It is a midrash comprising a collection of ancient rabbinical homiletical interpretations of the Book of Genesis.
Their purpose was to create (or rather, to restore) a Spanish-language Bible which honored and remained true to the old Reina–Valera Castilian Spanish. The Reina–Valera 1865, made by Dr. Ángel Herreros de Mora of Spain, and subsequently printed by the American Bible Society.
