I clicked Install button to install Facebook app and it appeared to be working. "Restoring user data" briefly appeared. Then progress bar quickly disappeared and Install button re-appeared. Click Install button once again and got message "Completed" but install never got completed.

If you got it from the Microsoft Store as a widget, simply go to Settings > Apps > Installed app, and find the Facebook app to uninstall it. Alternatively, if you installed it through Microsoft Edge, you can remove it by typing edge://apps into the Edge search bar and removing Facebook from there by clicking three-dots menu (...) then Uninstall.
