Bose Corporation (/ b oʊ z / ⓘ) is an American manufacturing company that predominantly sells audio equipment. The company was established by Amar Bose in 1964 and is based in Framingham, Massachusetts. It is best known for its home audio systems and speakers, noise-canceling headphones, professional audio products, and automobile sound systems.
High fidelity (often shortened to Hi-Fi or HiFi) is the high-quality reproduction of sound. [ 1] It is popular with audiophiles and home audio enthusiasts. Ideally, high-fidelity equipment has inaudible noise and distortion, and a flat (neutral, uncolored) frequency response within the human hearing range. [ 2]
The first 2.1 audio system from Bose to include a DVD player was the "3-2-1", released in 2001. [1] The "3-2-1 GS" model was introduced in 2003, named for its use of Bose "Gemstones" small speakers, which have two drivers pointing forward and one pointing to the side.
